Join Kai Tahu artist Steve Solomon and whānau for two days of live Toi Māori. Experience wood and stone mahi, with insight into the stories, skills and traditions behind the work. Steve is a contemporary Māori artist whose work features throughout Murihiku and beyond, blending traditional whakairo with modern materials and design.
Tawhiri and Bayden Solomon continue the Solomon whānau tradition in Toi Māori.
The space will be open Friday, 10 July, and Saturday, 11 July, to watch the mahi as it unfolds and kōrero with the artists.
