Kava & Kai | An evening of culture, connection and community

Our Fijian whānau warmly invite our hapori to come together and share in the cultural tradition of kava.

This will be a relaxed evening of connection, conversation and kai, with an opportunity to experience the ceremony of kava and learn more about its place within Fijian culture.

In the spirit of whanaungatanga and cultural exchange, we will also learn Tāhuna te kāinga ahi, a mōteatea that speaks to our connection to this beautiful place we are lucky to call home.

This evening is for anyone who would like to connect, experience cultural traditions and spend time together. All cultures, communities and whānau are warmly welcomed.

Come as you are, bring your whānau and a plate to share.
