GP Lucy O’Hagan’s one woman show takes you inside a morning of general practice. Lucy plays 32 different characters in 55 minutes in a performance that is both funny and poignant.

‍Lucy O’Hagan is author of Everything But the Medicine. A Doctor’s tale, all about what it is like to be the GP sitting alongside human stories.

Lucy has been a GP for over 30 years, including 20 years at Aspiring Medical Centre in Wānaka. She has most recently worked for a needle exchange clinic and for Ngati Toa Rangatira at Oratoa Cannons Creek, Porirua.

Lucy’s book Everything But the Medicine was published by Massey University Press in 2025 and was long listed for the Ockham NZ Book awards.
