I have been painting for 30 years and still love it. I don’t have much of a plan when I start, I just jump in and start.
Sometimes its effortless and other times its awfull and I have to burn it quickly or every time I see it it depresses me. When a painting doesn’t work I often paint over the top of it – upside down.
I find the colours such fun as they can make you feel great by bouncing one off the other.
I LIKE TO PAINT MOST days and generally look at every painting I do and wonder what would happen if I chopped that bit out … I suppose I try and get the essence of a subject as simply as I can and I find a nice wide brush helps it stay simple Painting is my form of meditation and keeps me happy…
