Wilson Dixon – Wānaka Festival of Colour

Wilson Dixon is known to many as the greatest country singer Cripple Creek has ever produced. He’s also the only country singer Cripple Creek has ever produced, but whichever way you look at it, it’s a pretty good achievement. Life of late has been “fun" for Wilson living next door to his ex-wife Maureen who ran off with another man, their neighbour, and also navigating his way through the pandemic denying conspiracy theory believing members of his extended family. More specifically he means his brother Jethro, who has interesting theories about the shape of the Earth and believes that vaping makes him smarter.

Join Wilson for an intimate hour as he performs his brand new show with brand new songs about his unfortunately not brand new extended family.

And expect a few new stories about his feud with his angry horse Andrew.

Deadpan delivery of some of the funniest songs you’ll ever hear - Time Out, UK.

Sparks of pure brilliance - TVNZ

Packs more laughs into the allotted time than one would think possible - The Guardian

A celebration of absurdity... showcases how humour can be found in the mundane and unexpected details of life. -  Theatreview
