SPRING SESSIONS: Loud Folk with Sloer

Spring Sessions Wānaka takeover! An evening of alt-folk offerings from five-piece band Sloer. A musical world somewhere between Julia Jacklin and Portishead.

Spring Sessions are a series of original music evenings over happening October and November, showcasing our local Tāhuna artists. It's time to put a spotlight on the compositions created from around our lakes and mountains we get to call home. We invite you to listen and enjoy the talents and creativity of our own dear community.

Sloer are a five-piece band from Wānaka whose sound lives between the hush of folk and the cinematic sweep of alternative pop. Their songs linger and seek for connection. With resonating stories and honesty, they draw parallels to Julia Jacklin and Portishead. We welcome Sloer on their final stop of a small South-Island tour through Lyttelton, Dunedin and Queenstown.

Join us for a heart-simmering evening in the Whakaari gallery at Te Atamira.
