Saturday Arts Social is a multi-arts programme and morning tea designed for our 60+ community. We gather every Saturday morning for a broad programme of events including concerts, art workshops, dance/movement classes and artist talks.

In this session, participants will explore the relaxing and enjoyable art of doodling with fine line pens. In this creative workshop, experiment with lines, shapes, patterns and repeated designs to create your own unique artwork. We’ll use simple outlines as a starting point, which could include animals, plants, objects or abstract shapes, before filling them with your own patterns and ideas. No previous drawing experience is needed — just bring your curiosity and have fun exploring where a line can take you!

About your facilitator: Kelly is an artist and educator who has exhibited her work locally, with animals often as her subject. She currently works as the Arts Programme Educator at Te Atamira, where she designs and delivers creative arts programmes for a range of ages and experience levels. She is passionate about making art approachable, enjoyable and accessible to everyone.
