Ruth Shaw Three Wee Bookshops at the End of the World – Wānaka Festival of Colour

Ruth Shaw runs a cluster of wee bookshops in remote Manapōuri in the far south of New Zealand. She lives with her husband, Lance. In 2022 she published her first memoir, The Bookseller at the End of the World, a book that has since become a critically acclaimed national and international treasure. The Bookseller at the End of the World has been translated into over ten languages.

At Aspiring Conversations 2024, Ruth was one of our guest storytellers at the True Stories Told Live session, Chancing It, and brought the house down with her hilarious personal stories and adventures. Her first two books have been hugely successful world-wide and at this session we are delighted to launch her brand new memoir Three Wee Bookshops at the End of the World.

Join Ruth in conversation with old friend and Senior Writer for Stuff, Mike White.

On as part of the Wānaka Festival of Colour.
