Visual artist Marion Vialade-Worch, is excited to introduce “Leave THe WORLd BEHiND – the Art of unlearning” - New Zealand’s first hybrid art exhibition integrating VR technology into the art experience.
Launching this January 2025 at Central Stories Museum and Gallery in Alexandra (Central Otago) & online simultaneously, this double intertwined exhibition showcases the artist's semi-abstract landscapes paintings, a body of work inspired by the feeling of leaving the familiar behind to explore unknown territories.
Through the process of unlearning, the artist paints a journey of self-discovery and growth in her creative practice, neurodivergence empowerment, Art matters, paint making, semi-abstraction territory, sense of place, wellbeing and slow looking practice...
The online Art show is accessible upon ticket purchase, including a virtual 3D exhibition, live online sessions exploring various topics and live Q&A, and VR previews in viewers’ homes, which show how the artwork will look on their walls—a first for New Zealand’s art scene.
The in-person art exhibition in Alexandra (free entry) will also run the whole month of January 2025. Marion VWorch's paintings will be on display in a traditional gallery setting where visitors will have a chance to appreciate and/or engage with the local creative community performing collaborative live events.
