Community Sing is an open, drop-in choir for everyone in the community. It's free and open to all! No registration required. October's session will take place on Tuesday 6 October, 7pm-8pm.

6 October: Tāhuna te Kāinga Ahi - Mōteatea Session

In this session, participants will learn the  mōteatea, Tāhuna te Kāinga Ahi. Created by members our hapori, this waiata  weaves together the histories, stories, and lived experiences of the people  who call the Whakatipu region home. Led by memebers of Te Hā o Tāhuna, this  welcoming session invites everyone to learn and share in a mōteatea that  represents our place and community.

About your facilitator: Te Hā o Tāhuna is a local te reo Māori initiative where whānau come together to learn, practise, and engage in te reo Māori. Through creating opportunities for connection, learning and shared experience, the initiative supports the growth and everyday use of te reo Māori within whānau and the wider hapori.
