Where Have All the Good Songs Gone? - Violet Hirst: Tiny Room Concert

Nationally acclaimed Singer-songwriter Violet Hirst has spent her early 20's establishing herself as a fresh young artist in NZ.  Over the past few years she's become a bit of a nomad, shifting from place to place, and last year she was invited to accompany NZ band "Office Dog" on their USA tour.   All this moving about has given her plenty of time to ponder the gnawing question as to why pop-music has become so predictable and uninspiring?  Where have all those good songs gone??

Once again, dipping into her parents LP collection, re-visiting the 90's and finding rare gems of songwriting beauty, Violet takes the pick of the crop to reflect on moving, writing, loving and striving for a clear honest lyric and a simple beautiful melody.

"Where Have All The Good Songs Gone - Vol 2" explores her reflections on travelling, writing, surviving as an artist in todays modern world, and finding requited love.

Featuring music from Joni Mitchell, The Cranberries, Nina Simone, Sade, and some people perhaps you've never even heard of.

Violet is joined by Alex Pyle, Matt Wilson and Eby Sebastian.
