True Stories Told Live – Wānaka Festival of Colour

Four storytellers take to the stage to share a tale based on the theme ‘History Repeats’, from the funny, to the heartbreaking, to the strange-but-true.

Nicola Brown is a comedian, writer and clinical psychologist who received Dunedin Comedy's Best Storyteller award in 2021.

The lead singer and songwriter of the roots/country band The Eastern, folk musician and tale-teller Adam McGrath has been described by RNZ as a “national treasure”.

‍Rachael King is a novelist, book reviewer, former literary festival director and ex-player of bass in rock bands.

Actor, playwright, writer and storyteller Julian Noel is fascinated with land, tradition and the dark mysteries of human nature. His dream is to star in his own True Crime podcast. Maybe this is a start.
