Te Wāhi Toi/The Arts Place exists to connect the creative community of Queenstown and Wānaka with audiences, students, teachers, spaces and each other. We are a not-for-profit organisation powered by Three Lakes Cultural Trust and inspired by local arts and culture.
Create your own bespoke slow-stitched bear in this creative and calming workshop led by esteemed embroiderer Dianne Van Brandenburg. Tuesday's, 12 August, 19 August, 26 August, 2 September and 9 September, 10:00am - 12:30pm
Join highly respected textile artist and long-standing member of the Embroiderers' Guild, Dianne Van Brandenburg, for a hands-on workshop exploring the gentle art of slow stitching. You’ll be guided through a variety of hand embroidery techniques to create a beautifully embellished fabric bear. Drawing on her extensive teaching experience, Dianne creates a relaxed and supportive environment that welcomes both beginners and those with stitching experience.

All materials are included. No prior embroidery experience is needed -just bring your creativity and willingness to stitch slowly and mindfully.
