Te Wāhi Toi/The Arts Place exists to connect the creative community of Queenstown and Wānaka with audiences, students, teachers, spaces and each other. We are a not-for-profit organisation powered by Three Lakes Cultural Trust and inspired by local arts and culture.

Dive into the colorful world of crochet with Lyrics and Lines artist Ani O'Neill! In this engaging workshop, Ani invites participants of all ages and abilities to explore crochet’s playful potential. Through simple techniques, you’ll create small, circular designs that can remain flat or evolve into unique 3D forms. Enjoy experimenting with color, texture, and chance as part of a collaborative project celebrating creative expression. No prior experience is necessary, and materials are provided - though bringing any extra yarn scraps to share is encouraged! This workshop is a perfect fit for anyone aged 10 to 100, offering a welcoming, inclusive space to connect with others through art.
