Te Wāhi Toi/The Arts Place exists to connect the creative community of Queenstown and Wānaka with audiences, students, teachers, spaces and each other. We are a not-for-profit organisation powered by Three Lakes Cultural Trust and inspired by local arts and culture.
Call for entries! "ABOVE, BELOW, BEYOND" - Queenstown Arts Society Members' Exhibition
Prize winners will be announced at 6pm.
Above, Below, Beyond invites artists to explore layers of perception, experience, and meaning. Discover vantage points, hidden depths, and the spaces that lie just outside ordinary sight. What happens when we shift our perspective? What stories or forms emerge when we look upward, downward, or further than what’s immediately visible?
Interpret the theme literally, metaphorically, or conceptually. We can’t wait to see what you submit!
Suitable Media:
Painting, photography, sculpture, installation, textile, digital art, mixed media, and conceptual works.
How to Enter:
Submissions are open to all QAS members. Guidelines and membership info are available on our website.
Key Dates:
Submission Deadline: 5 PM, 21th February 2026
Work received in person: 27th February 5pm-7pm & 28th February 10am-3pm
Exhibition Opening: 5th March 2026 5-7 PM
Exhibition Closing: 10th April 2026 5pm
Work pick-up: 10th April 2026 5pm-7pm & 11th April 2026 11am-3pm
