Porter Gallery is home to the work of Neville Porter, a local photographer with three decades spent looking closely at the South Island's landscapes. As a local himself, Neville reveals the rustic charm of Central Otago through images of his own woolshed, alongside the grandiose landscapes of Fiordland, where he likes to get lost.

The collection continues to evolve, towards more abstract works and international series.

Each piece is printed on fine art materials (washi paper, cotton rag, and canvas) to the highest conservation standards, so the texture and presence of the work can be felt as much as seen.
