Tititea Performing Arts Trust
With the aim of supporting a love of performing arts and increasing the health and wellbeing of young people, Tititea Performing Arts Trust was establised in 2023 in Wānaka.
Established by Wānaka locals Maxine Frazer, Leigh Cohen, Maria Hearle and Gillian White, the Trust delivered their inagural dance competition in April 2024 hosting over 100 dancers from across Aotearoa who performed 550 dances across a 4 day programme, with enrolement selling out in less than 30 minutes.
Their a second event, held in April 2025 saw over 600 performances, three new categories, including a highly energetic and enjoyable hip hop battle, and the addition of two contemporary masterclasses facilitated by the competitions adjudicator, Sarah Foster Sproull (PhD) acclaimed choreographer and performer.
Now in their third year the Tititea Performing Arts Trust continue to have a focus on safe, age appropriate dance and creating a supportive and welcoming environment for all participants.
