Te Wāhi Toi/The Arts Place exists to connect the creative community of Queenstown and Wānaka with audiences, students, teachers, spaces and each other. We are a not-for-profit organisation powered by Three Lakes Cultural Trust and inspired by local arts and culture.
Esperance Steven is an artist working with wild Clay, she sources from Central Otago and Southland. She loves making high fired (Stoneware / cone 10) objects that withstand our extreme temperatures here in Central Otago. She loves working with fuel fired kilns. Being involved in every part of the process feels right.
Esper is known for her drawings, wild Clay keepcups, mugs, vases, urns, cellaphone speakers and pau whenua ( posts of the land )
