Te Wāhi Toi/The Arts Place exists to connect the creative community of Queenstown and Wānaka with audiences, students, teachers, spaces and each other. We are a not-for-profit organisation powered by Three Lakes Cultural Trust and inspired by local arts and culture.
A zine (short for "magazine" or "fanzine") is a small, self-published booklet or magazine often used to share personal stories, art, and ideas.
QLDC Libraries have teamed up with Fluid to bring you two upcoming workshops at Queenstown Library where you can dive into the art of zine-making and create your own unique content. Participants can attend one, or both workshops.
Workshop 1: What is a Zine, Actually?
Workshop 2: The Art of Zine Making
In this workshop, participants will explore layout and design techniques to bring their zines to life, using various materials to arrange text and images that showcase their unique stories and perspectives.
